Aquatic Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Aquatic Professional to manage aquatic ecosystems. The ideal candidate will have experience in treating algae, submerged and floating weeds, shoreline weeds, and non-desirable buffer vegetation.

• Treat for algae, submerged and floating weeds, shoreline weeds, non-desirable buffer vegetation, and other unwanted aquatic growth.
• Service fountains, aerators, fisheries, sonic solutions, and related equipment maintenance.
• Conduct water sampling for quality analysis when needed.
• Provide superior service to customers' ponds and lakes as required.
• Remove nuisance, invasive aquatic vegetation through manual removal efforts (occasionally).
• Collaborate with experienced specialists to gain knowledge regarding all aspects of water body management.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• A degree in a related science is preferred.
• 0-2 years' experience in an environmental-related field.
• The ability to obtain state licenses required to perform the role.
• Aptitude in using various hand tools.
• The ability to follow established procedures and practices.
• A commitment to health and safety guidelines.
• Effective verbal and listening communication skills.
• An attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• The ability to swim.
• The ability to trailer and operate aquatic vessels (preferred).
• Knowledge of aquatic vegetation (preferred).

This role requires physical exertion and may involve driving, standing, walking, bending, climbing, kneeling, and crouching for extended periods of time. You must also be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and possess a valid driver's license and pass a motor vehicle record search. Additionally, you must pass a pre-employment background screen and drug test.
