Job Overview

This is a general recruitment process for senior software engineers to join our open source networking team.

We are seeking talented individuals with a passion for networking and software development. Our focus areas include Linux kernel IP, eBPF, bridge constructs, overlay SDN networking like OVS and OVN, router, switch and radio access technologies such as SoNIC, FRR and DENT, telco MANO and 5G Core solutions.

About You:

  • An exceptional academic track record from both high school and university
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or STEM, or an alternative path with relevant experience
  • Drive and a track record of exceeding expectations
  • Knowledge of networking: architecture, design, and protocols
  • Deep understanding of Linux networking, from kernel to user space
  • Fluency in at least one of Golang, C/C++, Rust or Python
  • Professional written and spoken English
  • Experience with Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability
  • Passion, thoughtfulness, and self-motivation
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Result-oriented, with a personal drive to meet commitments

Your Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate on the development of advanced operating systems and network application technologies
  • Work with public clouds and network silicon providers
  • Design and implement innovative software-defined networking experiences for the latest hardware platforms and software stacks
  • Write high-quality, well-designed and well-documented code
  • Contribute to product strategy development
  • Debug issues and produce high-quality code to resolve them
  • Collaborate proactively with a globally distributed organisation
  • Contribute to technical documentation to enhance its quality
  • Display technical leadership internally and externally
  • Influence open-source projects and communities
  • Develop software-defined networking products for evolving data centre architectures
