We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our team at Sezzle. As a key member of our Infrastructure and Security team, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining the infrastructure that supports our engineering and data teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Build Scalable Infrastructure: Develop and implement scalable infrastructure solutions using Kubernetes, Redshift, and other AWS services to support our growing user base.
- Collaborate with Product Teams: Work closely with product teams to design and implement MVP products, ensuring timely and efficient deployment.
- Monitoring and Alerting: Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting solutions to improve the on-call experience and ensure prompt issue resolution.
- Debugging and Triage: Assist product developers in debugging and triaging production issues, providing expert-level support.
- Operational Environment: Serve as the first line of defense for our operational environments, triaging and resolving problems as they occur.
- Platform and Data Architecture: Design and scale platform and data architectures to sustain rapid user growth and ensure seamless performance.
- Team Development: Mentor and guide team members, sharing expertise and best practices in software development and infrastructure management.
- Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Experience: At least 5+ years of overall software, data, deployments, and platform infrastructure experience.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Cloud Computing: Experience with cloud computing platforms like AWS, including deployment and provisioning tools like Terraform and Helm.
- DevOps: Strong understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Observability and Monitoring: Experience with implementing and maintaining observability and monitoring tools, such as Prometheus, Datadog, and Grafana.
- Data Warehousing: Proficiency in building and maintaining large-scale data warehousing technologies like Redshift.
- ETL/ELT Pipelines: Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and open-source tools like DBT.
