Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Supervisor to join our team in Brazil. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and supervising a team of mechanical engineers and technicians, ensuring the effective maintenance and operation of mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Team Management
    • Lead and manage a team of mechanical engineers and technicians to ensure effective maintenance and operation of mechanical equipment.
    • Establish clear goals and objectives for the team and ensure they are met.
    • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to ensure seamless collaboration between team members.
  2. Maintenance and Repair
    • Oversee the maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment, including oil pumps, gas compressors, water injection pumps, and power generation equipment.
    • Ensure all maintenance and repair activities are carried out in accordance with established procedures and regulations.
    • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
  3. Condition Monitoring
    • Develop and implement condition monitoring programs to ensure the optimal performance of mechanical equipment.
    • Collect and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
    • Implement corrective actions to prevent equipment failure.
  4. Emergency Response
    • Develop and implement emergency response plans to ensure the safe and effective response to equipment failures or other emergencies.
    • Conduct regular drills and exercises to ensure team readiness.
    • Lead the team in responding to emergencies and implementing corrective actions.
Requirements
  • HNC/HND or equivalent in mechanical engineering preferred OR Chief Engineer Certificate as per STCW Reg AIII/2
  • Minimum 5 years offshore experience of which 3 must be at a supervisor level
  • Extensive experience in maintenance of oil pumps, gas compressors (reciprocating and centrifugal), water injection pumps, and power generation equipment
  • FPSO experience desirable
  • Fully experienced with PTW and Risk Assessment Techniques
  • Medically fit with offshore International standards such as ENG1 or equivalent
