About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Backend Engineer with expertise in database optimization and scalable software development to lead initiatives that enhance database performance and develop robust backend systems capable of handling high data volumes, particularly for revenue-driving features.

As a key member of our team, you will design and optimize databases to improve performance, scalability, and efficiency, focusing on query optimization, indexing strategies, and data architecture best practices.

You will build and maintain efficient, scalable back-end systems to handle high data volumes, prioritizing the optimization of revenue-driving features, and develop software applications with an emphasis on performance, reliability, and scalability.

In addition, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate high-level concepts into actionable, effective software solutions and design and implement event-driven processes to improve data flow, responsiveness, and scalability across systems.

  • Data Optimization and Database Performance: Lead the design and optimization of databases to improve performance, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Back-End Data Processing: Build and maintain efficient, scalable back-end systems to handle high data volumes.
  • Software Development: Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications with an emphasis on performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • OOP and Clean Code: Write clean, modular code following Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles, with proficiency in Python.
  • Collaborative Problem Solving: Work closely with cross-functional teams to translate high-level concepts into actionable, effective software solutions.
  • Event-Driven Processes: Design and implement event-driven processes to improve data flow, responsiveness, and scalability across systems.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience with Python
  • Hands-on experience building tools using Streamlit for Snowflake
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and experience working with Snowflake
  • Experience with dbt (data build tool) for data transformation and modeling
  • Upper-Intermediate English Level
Desirable Skills
  • Background in data analytics;
  • Exposure to or hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks or integrations.
