Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Equipment Inspector to join our team at SBM Offshore. As an Equipment Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and safety of our equipment and assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and visitors to the working environment.
- Establish and maintain effective communications with colleagues, external visitors, and supervisors.
- Carry out accurate and effective work handovers.
- Conduct internal and external equipment inspections, as well as hydro tests, as required by regulation.
- Ensure full compliance with SPIE regulations.
- Keep all inspection and equipment data books updated.
- Produce reports of equipment inspections and their data books.
- Follow external audits and reports to the Maintenance Superintendent and to the Equipment Inspector Coordinator the status of the audit.
- Coordinate the subcontractors' work on board the unit in regards to SPIE equipment.
Requirements
- Experience working as an Equipment Inspector.
- Equipment Inspection qualification.
- Thickness Measurement and Liquid Penetrant qualifications.
- Intermediate to Advanced English language skill.
Desirable
- Experience and knowledge in offshore operations.
- Experience working at SPIE.
Personal Skills
- Conscientious.
- Safe.
- Capable of positive action and performance.
- Good level of teamwork and safety behavior.
Sufficient ability in written and spoken communication in English language to enable safe work handovers and Emergency Response.
Working Conditions
This is a 14X14 days scale position on a floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel.
