Programme Management Role

The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) in Brazil is seeking a skilled Programme Management Assistant to support the effective achievement of results.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive support to programme implementation in Brazil, including initial screening of project proposals and review of project documents for completeness and compliance with relevant rules and procedures.
  • Contribute to the formulation of programme strategies and implementation of projects related to the Programme of Work, involving research, document drafting, correspondence, and report preparation.
  • Liaise with the Regional Office for Latin America and Caribbean on development of activities at National and Sub-Regional level, ensuring administrative coordination of programme/project implementation activities.
  • Offer administrative support to Programme Management, encompassing budget revisions, resource monitoring, and preparation of substantive and financial reports.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and building within the Office, providing guidance and training to new/junior staff and responding to complex information requests.

The successful candidate will possess excellent planning, organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills. They will be able to work effectively in a team environment and demonstrate a commitment to the mission and values of the United Nations.
