Job Title: Electronic Technician

Reports To: Plant Engineer

Department: Plant Maintenance

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Under the direction of the Plant Engineer or their designee, fulfill all requirements and perform all tasks, assignments, and duties of a Maintenance Craftsman Electrical Worker, Level I (Industrial Electrician).
  2. Proficiently troubleshoot digital and analog electrical and electronic machinery, components, and control systems, including electrical, electronic, software, and pneumatic control systems.
  3. Utilize multi-meters, oscilloscopes, megohmmeters, calibrators, thermal imagers, and other test equipment to troubleshoot and monitor machinery.
  4. Understand and troubleshoot electronic machine controls using PLCs, PID loops, AC/DC motor drives, HMIs, electronic sensors, communication systems, basic networking, SCADA systems, and camera equipment.
  5. Use computers for web searches, reading PLC programs, setting up control equipment, monitoring processes, and general machine troubleshooting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs is highly desired.
  6. Possess working knowledge of process instrumentation and feedback devices such as thermocouples, pressure and flow sensors, level sensors, speed sensors, rotating encoders, and related equipment.
  7. Complete required tests, calibrations, adjustments, and associated reports on process equipment as needed.

Job Requirements:

  1. Meet all scholastic and experiential requirements of a Maintenance Craftsman Electrical Level I.
  2. Have a minimum 2-year degree in electronics training or equivalent education through relevant college-level courses, military training, or other equivalent training.
