Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to contribute to our cutting-edge AI innovation efforts. As we transition to cleaner forms of energy, the challenge facing the industry in the coming decades is considerable.

This role will focus on strategically important areas for digital innovation, including AI at HPC scale, AI-augmented models for acceleration of scientific simulations, and AI for new energy domains.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead deep learning and digital R&D projects with 3rd parties, providing technical expertise to maximize value, with support from Shell Subject Matter Experts and colleagues in the asset.
  • Accountable for project management to meet all Shell internal requirements and ANP regulations, with support from dedicated commercial, finance and portfolio specialists.
  • Develop and lead technical proposals, research activities including design sprints, literature reviews, field research, and prototype building.
  • Apply innovative research to influence relevant products and partner teams across the company, and to have company and societal impact.

Requirements:

  • Experience in scientific activities either in industry or in a research environment.
  • Exposure to different R&D topics, processes, in a digital technology/applied research environment.
  • Able to frame problems to identify business needs, define problems worth solving and construct multi-discipline technology solutions.
  • Embody the Learner Mindset, a shared belief that everyone continuously learns and grows their abilities, learning from others, from mistakes and successes, and can always speak up openly in a safe environment.
