Software Engineer Role

This position involves contributing to the development and deployment of cloud-agnostic financial applications. As a skilled Software Engineer, you will collaborate on architectural improvements, deploy services using technologies such as Kubernetes and Amazon Elastic Container Service for Kubernetes (EKS), and leverage AWS services like Lambda and Step Functions to implement scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain backend components supporting financial workflows and system integrations.
  • Design and implement containerized applications using Kubernetes and Amazon EKS.
  • Collaborate with QA and DevOps teams to ensure continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) automation, testing coverage, and deployment reliability.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and cross-functional technical discussions.
  • Resolve production issues and contribute to ongoing system monitoring and observability improvements.
  • Support infrastructure-as-code practices using Terraform or similar tools.
  • Promote maintainable code and participate in peer code reviews.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • At least 4 years of experience in software engineering.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer and electrical engineering, or equivalent technical experience.
  • Back-end software development experience within agile teams.
  • Professional experience with object-oriented programming languages.
  • Cloud-based applications development experience.
  • Strong experience in backend development using Java, Python, or Node.js.
  • Hands-on expertise with AWS services and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
  • Proficiency with Kubernetes and Amazon EKS for container orchestration.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, and automated testing practices.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in Agile environments.
  • Experience in financial systems is beneficial.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to identify key issues, structure analysis and synthesize data, and provide recommendations effectively.
