Job Title: Americas Engineering Director

This is a leadership role that oversees the engineering function in the Americas region.

About the Role
  • The Americas Engineering Director will lead a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure optimal performance.
  • This individual will allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines and operational requirements.
  • Conducting performance evaluations, providing feedback, and identifying training and development needs for team members are also key responsibilities.
  • Oversight of maintenance, repair, and improvement of all facilities and equipment within the region is a critical aspect of this role.
  • Developing comprehensive preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevity is essential.
  • Collaboration with facility managers and vendors to schedule and prioritize repair activities is also necessary.
  • Maintenance of compliance with all applicable safety and regulatory standards is a top priority.
  • Staying updated on relevant codes, laws, and industry trends to maintain a safe and compliant work environment is crucial.
  • Implementation and monitoring of safety programs, policies, and procedures are also required.
  • Leadership and management of capital projects, including expansions, renovations, and upgrades, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Collaboration with internal stakeholders and external vendors to develop project plans, oversee implementation, and ensure quality of work.
  • Monitoring project progress, identifying risks, and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Development and implementation of strategies to optimize operational efficiency and reduce costs within the region.
  • Identification of opportunities for process improvements and implementation of best practices.
  • Monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators to measure and track operational performance.
  • Collaboration with regional directors, facility managers, and cross-functional teams to align engineering initiatives with organizational objectives.
  • Acting as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and building strong relationships.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. A professional engineering license is preferred.
  • Minimum of [number of years] years of experience in engineering management, preferably in a similar role within the facilities management or real estate industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of building systems, equipment, and maintenance procedures.
