This role involves managing the purchase of raw materials, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring compliance with procedures and business strategies.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement a supply strategy for critical raw materials, aligning it with business segments' goals.
  • Qualify and acquire raw materials in accordance with established procedures and policies.
  • Interact with businesses to ensure alignment with their strategies and with the corporation to implement global procurement policies and processes locally.
  • Build solid relationships with suppliers, promoting trust and effective collaboration.

Main Activities:

  • Ensure the Integrated Management System is up-to-date regarding raw material purchases, guaranteeing compliance with regulations.
  • Support Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies, ensuring adherence to corporate and regional requirements.
  • Continuously interact with businesses to ensure strategy alignment.
  • Select and evaluate raw material suppliers based on their suitability and reliability.
  • Ensure accurate updates to Source Lists and Purchase Info records.
  • Receive and engage with supplier representatives for technical and commercial discussions.
  • Conduct regular visits to suppliers to assess their capabilities and performance.
  • Analyze and select the most suitable sources for raw material purchases, considering price and availability.
  • Be responsible for sourcing local and imported raw materials, negotiating with suppliers according to Lubrizol's Procurement Policy and Procedures.
  • Monitor raw material purchase orders, collaborating with the import team when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate non-conformities internally and with raw material suppliers.
  • Proactively address issues related to the raw material purchasing process.
  • Collaborate with the corporation's raw material procurement team to achieve shared objectives.
  • Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to raw material purchases.
  • Lead and administratively manage the direct procurement team effectively.
