We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Credit Associate to join our Credit Strategy & Standards (CSS) Group at Moody's Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the consistency and accuracy of our credit ratings and rating approaches.
Key Responsibilities- Provide analytical, statistical, research, and logistical assistance to the Credit Strategy & Research (CSR) team, working closely with more senior colleagues.
- Support the Latin America Strategy & Research function in monitoring and analyzing regional trends, macroeconomic developments, policy changes, and country-specific and sector-specific economic, fiscal, and political developments.
- Develop a working knowledge of credit fundamentals, including Moody's methodologies and credit rating best practices.
- Monitor the credit industry by following market developments, identifying emerging trends and issues, and providing analysis for senior management and publication.
- Contribute to research, including through idea generation and preliminary drafting, and work with colleagues to draft presentations, infographics, or other media assets.
- Minimum undergraduate/first-level degree in a relevant subject, such as finance, economics, or a related field.
- Master's degree in economics, Public Policy, or Finance preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Knowledge of Spanish and/or Portuguese is preferred.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with coding experience (e.g., R, VBA, or Python) a significant advantage.
