Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum
This salary range is an estimate based on national averages in the United States for a senior electrical engineer position in the tech industry.

Job Description
The Senior Electrical Engineer will play a key role in developing innovative and cost-effective solutions for specialized fibre optic products. This involves working closely with optical and mechanical designers during the engineering and commercialization phase.

Main Responsibilities
  • Perform fusion splicing of various types of optical fibers.
  • Design and conduct functional and nonfunctional tests including tests for system load and performance security scalability usability and deployability.
  • Analyze design develop and maintain products and assist in their commercialization.
  • Build prototypes products and systems suitable for testing. Set up and run lab simulations. Design and implement tests document results and develop customer presentations.
  • Provide timely corrective actions on defects.
  • Conduct or participate in technical reviews of requirements specifications designs code and other artifacts.
  • Create and maintain product documentation.

Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Physics or equivalent.
  • Master's degree or Ph.D. desirable.
  • Experience in software and hardware testing or related fields.
  • Proficiency in Matlab, Python.
  • Advanced English.
  • Active Professional license (CREA).
