Job Summary:

Capgemini is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Actuarial Analyst to join our team in Brazil. As an Actuarial Analyst, you will play a critical role in conducting monthly analyses to compare actual losses with expected losses. You will investigate the factors that contribute to differences between the actual losses and our estimated losses based on our analyses and models.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Actuarial Analysis: Calculate present and accumulated cash flow values for reserving, valuation, pricing, and asset/liability management using economic and financial mathematics.
  • Apply Investment and Financial Market Knowledge: Apply investment and financial market knowledge in an insurance context to estimate liabilities and determine appropriate loss and expense reserves.
  • Understand Insurance Operations: Understand the operational structure of insurance companies and the interaction between functions like pricing, accounting, claims, and finance.
  • Ensure Accurate Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate financial reporting by applying knowledge of insurance legislation and regulation.
  • Support Risk Management Decisions: Utilize tools and techniques to estimate loss costs, reserve liabilities, and support risk management decisions.

Requirements:

  • English Advanced: English language proficiency at an advanced level.
  • Education: Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree (Finance/Statistics/Actuarial Science/Computer Science or related).
  • Experience: Experience working as an Actuarial Analyst and in the described functions.

Technical Skills:

  • SQL: Proficiency in SQL required.
  • R Programming or Python: R programming or Python a plus.
  • SAS: SAS a plus.
