Your Responsibilities:

A Software Developer utilizes a methodical approach to the creation, delivery, maintenance, and operation of software products and services. They collaborate with various teams to grasp customer requirements and devise high-value solutions. They are responsible for designing and implementing solutions that fulfill both functional and non-functional software requirements while adhering to established development standards. Throughout the software lifecycle, the Software Developer serves as a consultant in their areas of expertise and continuously enhances their skills relevant to their role.

Specifically, you will:

  • Actively engage in all key activities (Planning, Stand Up, Story Time, etc.)
  • Develop expertise using Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Continuous Integration (CI) practices
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Owners, and Development teams
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to deliver solutions from inception to customer delivery
  • Enhance processes, standards, and practices
  • Work collaboratively with senior developers on complex tasks
  • Effectively pair program with both junior and senior developers
  • Create programs that align with Sovos coding standards and conventions
  • Build proficiency in at least one specific technical area (Database, SAP, Web Development, etc.)
  • Locate and update relevant documentation during development
  • Address straightforward engineering escalations
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve intricate challenges
  • Troubleshoot issues and bugs within your area of expertise

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in software development
  • Key Job Functions:

o Understand and communicate complex concepts

o Focus, analyze, and resolve intricate problems

o Utilize technology (e.g., phone systems, computer hardware, and software applications) to meet work requirements
