Unlocking Innovation for Rare Diseases

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team in São Paulo, Brazil. As a key member of our Rare Diseases division, you will be responsible for cultivating strong scientific relationships with Healthcare Professionals and Payers, ensuring the right therapeutic solutions are matched with patients at the right time.

Cultivating effective partnerships is crucial to the success of this role. You will engage with HCPs and Payers to promote UCB's rare disease treatments, stay up-to-date with the latest scientific advancements, clinical research, and developments in rare diseases treatments, and identify and engage with significant scientific and medical influencers to drive interest in UCB's products.

  • You will explore new avenues for enhancing patient well-being through innovative solutions and services, generate and oversee data related to products and disease states, including Investigator-Initiated Studies and Real-World Evidence, and support clinical research projects, clinical development endeavors, and share valuable insights with the Medical Solutions Team and Scientific Lead.
  • Serving as the local scientific authority in specific therapeutic domains, you will collaborate with market access colleagues to present Real-World Evidence and clinical information to regional and local payer accounts and formularies, comply with administrative tasks to record interactions with HCPs and activities in the field, develop and align tactics with the medical strategy.

  • Assist HCPs, patients, and payers in delivering optimal care that enhances UCB's value proposition position in specific territories.
  • Provide scientific expertise and analysis for strategic initiatives in collaboration with other associated local roles.
  • Share knowledge, innovation opportunities, and patient needs within the organization's core.
  • Leverage Real-World Evidence to further strengthen UCB solutions' value to patients.
  • Meet local KPIs set for the role.

  • Enabling medical roles (Scientific Lead)
  • Local / regional multidisciplinary team
  • Local affiliate governance committees
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Life sciences, pharmacy, or medicine, etc...
  • Desirable Master's and Ph.D;
  • Experience in MSL position (Rare Disease and/or High Specialty products);
  • Fluent English;
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience is mandatory;
  • Reside in São Paulo;
