In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining the efficiency and reliability of our technological infrastructure. If you have a strong background in cloud systems, automation, and team leadership, this position is designed for you.
Key Responsibilities
What You Will Be Responsible For:
- AWS Infrastructure Oversight: Architect, deploy, and oversee scalable, secure, and highly available AWS environments.
- Kubernetes Management: Set up and manage Kubernetes clusters for effective orchestration of containerized services.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Create and sustain Terraform scripts to automate cloud resource provisioning.
- Scripting and Automation: Employ Python for automation tasks, configuration management, and resource provisioning.
- CI/CD Implementation: Establish and manage CI/CD pipelines utilizing tools like CircleCI.
- Code Quality Assurance: Implement and oversee SonarQube for ongoing code quality and security assessments.
- Cloud Migration Leadership: Direct cloud migration initiatives, ensuring minimal service disruption and smooth transitions.
- Team Mentorship: Guide and mentor a group of DevOps engineers, fostering best practices and continuous improvement.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to enhance workflows and productivity.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor system and application performance, troubleshoot issues, and proactively implement solutions.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in a DevOps capacity, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
- Extensive experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, and CloudFormation.
- Proficient in managing Kubernetes environments.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform or comparable IaC solutions.
- Advanced skills in Python for scripting and automation tasks.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like CircleCI.
- Experience using SonarQube for code quality and security evaluation.
- Demonstrated success in leading cloud migration projects.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent certifications.
Additional Skills:
- Knowledge of other scripting languages (e.g., Bash) and experience with alternative cloud providers (e.g., GCP, Azure).
