Senior Data Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering and experience with designing, building, and deploying large-scale data systems.


Job Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and deploy scalable data pipelines to transform billions of records across numerous systems into measurable data for business insights.
  • Partner with technical leadership to craft and implement data strategy that drives business growth.
  • Develop and maintain robust data platforms using modern tooling to ensure high performance and extensibility.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize business requirements and develop effective data solutions.

Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience as a data engineer/dev ops/software engineering, coding in Python.
  • 1+ year experience deploying data processing infrastructure as Code into cloud environment.
  • Advanced understanding of big data processing technologies such as Spark/Hadoop/Redshift/BigQuery/Snowflake.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills to manage complex process and technology issues without guidance.

Preferred Experience:
  • 2+ years experience building streaming data pipelines in a cloud-based data platform.
  • 1+ year deploying Infrastructure as Code within cloud provider or similar.
  • Experience with building ETL pipelines within Airflow/Python.
  • Experience with one or more CRMs such as Hubspot or Salesforce.
  • Experience with clickstream processing tools such as Mixpanel.
