Head of Security Engineering

As a key member of our security engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in protecting the open-source ecosystem and driving innovation for millions of users worldwide.
The primary responsibility of the team is to develop security features and capabilities that provide mandatory access control and confine programs to restrict their access to system resources.
You will lead and develop a team of engineers, ranging from graduate to senior, and be responsible for line management and career guidance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing a team of engineers
- Coaching, mentoring, and offering career development feedback
- Identifying and measuring team health indicators
- Implementing disciplined engineering processes
- Representing your team and product to stakeholders, partners, and customers
For this role, we are looking for exceptional leadership skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a passion for software and application security.
Candidates should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
We consider geographical location, experience, and performance in shaping compensation worldwide. We revisit compensation annually to ensure we recognise outstanding performance.
