Senior Game Producer

AWS Game-Based Learning Products is seeking a Senior Game Producer to lead the development of highly technical game-based learning solutions that rely on extensive use of hands-on labs, virtual environments, and interactive simulations to get customers to develop practical skills using AWS services.

As a Senior Game Producer, you will collaborate with designers and artists to develop an end-to-end visually appealing game experience; partner with engineers and testers to build gameplay, tooling, and cloud services that are foundational to our games; and cooperate with architects and instructional designers to map learning objectives into gameplay to deliver a unique cloud learning experience to our players.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Coordinate a multi-disciplinary team composed of architects, artists, designers, engineers, and testers to deliver, maintain, and operate multiple game-based learning products;
  2. Partner with technical stakeholders to co-create the long-term development roadmap for our games;
  3. Partner with business stakeholders to co-create weekly, monthly, and quarterly reviews;
  4. Fulfill the role of project manager (establish milestones, track progress, manage risks) for the development team, external agencies, and internal partners using agile development methods (kanban);
  5. Make data-driven decisions leveraging the gaming and cloud training industry landscape, as well as user feedback & telemetry data;

A day in the life:
You will work with product and engineering stakeholders closely on a day-to-day basis. You will contribute to the production of multiple games and features at the same time and collaborate with other learning products teams (e.g.: AWS Jam and Exam Prep), connecting products and features to a holistic experience. You will guide and mentor team members on game development best practices and regularly review technical and business work with peers, stakeholders, and leadership.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  1. 5+ years of Games Industry (supporting title Development, Release, or Live Ops) experience;
  2. Experience in gameplay development, backend API integration, and/or in-game art and design asset creation;
  3. Experience with modern game engines and asset integration pipelines;
  4. Experience working with a cross-discipline team of artists, designers, testers, and engineers in agile/scrum/kanban environment;
  5. Ability to communicate in Portuguese and English (verbal and written);
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Experience managing teams working with game development, engine level systems (rendering, audio, streaming, physics, etc), cloud infrastructure or DevOps, or equivalent game development technologies;
  2. Knowledgeable of game, training, and/or cloud industry trends.
