Executive Governance Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Governance Director to oversee the governance of our legal entities, provide strategic guidance, and drive operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of corporate structures, governance principles, and regulatory requirements. They will be responsible for leading a team of governance professionals, developing and implementing policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading a multi-jurisdictional team of governance professionals
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures related to entity formation, dissolution, and maintenance
  • Providing strategic legal advice to senior management on governance structures and risk management
  • Conducting regular audits and assessments of entity compliance and governance practices
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to drive best practices in entity management

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor of law/Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one common or civil law jurisdiction
  • Minimum of 15+ years post qualification experience in corporate law, with a focus on legal entity governance, compliance, and management
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively with diverse, multi-cultural and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders
