Role Overview

  • This position is accountable for steering the execution of projects, enhancements, and support associated with the SAP Project Systems (PS) module to address ongoing business needs and maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Preferred experience includes SAP Finance and SAP Controlling.
  • Address unique and intricate challenges that significantly impact the organization by utilizing professional expertise and educational background.
  • Design and configure the SAP system to streamline all Project System processes and transaction flows.
  • Collaborate with designated resources and team members to implement enhancement and project requests while guiding the Support team on Project-related issues.
  • Engage closely with other project team members to comprehend the integration between the Project module and other SAP modules.
  • Assist business users and colleagues in the implementation of new systems and processes.
  • This is a global role expected to support business users worldwide and collaborate with the business and SAP IDS teams located globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the IT team to drive solutions and resolve issues.
  • Work with business stakeholders to facilitate decisions based on provided solutions.
  • Guide business users and colleagues in the adoption of new systems and processes.
  • Engage with multiple stakeholders and provide timely updates to management.
  • Responsible for designing and configuring the SAP system to fulfill requirements in project system processes and transaction flows.
  • Work closely with other project team members to understand the integration between the Project module and other SAP modules in ECC.
  • Promote best practice adoption and produce high-quality deliverables.
  • Draft complex functional specifications and collaborate with technical teams and BI teams to address business requirements related to reporting and custom functionalities.
  • Develop strategies for project conversion and cutover.
  • Support a global user base across Europe, the Americas, and APME.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or Business Administration; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Over ten years of experience in designing, configuring, testing, and implementing SAP solutions in a multi-currency environment across various regions.
  • Experience in an SAP consulting-related role (internal or external).
  • Participation in at least two full lifecycle implementations in SAP Project System (PS).
  • Ability to promote best practice adoption and produce quality deliverables.
  • Strong knowledge of cross-modular integration with FI/CO, MM, PP, SD, and HCM.
  • Fiori experience is advantageous.
  • Understanding of SAP technical architecture concepts.
  • Capability to support a global user base across Europe, the Americas, and APME.
  • Aptitude for solving unique and complex problems that have a broad impact on the organization.
  • Strong client-facing skills, capable of delivering presentations to diverse audiences.
  • Project management skills: planning, monitoring, risk assessment, and escalation.
  • Able to identify and implement workarounds to overcome obstacles.
  • Flexible working hours.
  • Strong customer service ethic and presentation skills.
  • Operational autonomy, demonstrating initiative, proactivity, and persuasiveness.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Domain-Specific Expertise

  • Expertise in configuring PS structures: WBS, Network, Milestones, Cost Planning, Budgeting, Timesheets, Goods Issues, and other project management activities in SAP PS.
  • Experience across the complete PS module cycle from project initiation to settlement.
  • Proficient in Cost & Revenue planning and budgeting, with proven knowledge of Results Analysis - Cost-based and Revenue-based methods, Period-end processing, Project Settlement, Milestone Billing, Assembly processing, and Material procurement.
  • Experience leading small to large-scale projects as a functional lead.
  • Good techno-functional experience is preferred, including strong ABAP code debugging skills and understanding of user exits, BADIs, etc.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and a strong familiarity with best practices in SAP, particularly in a manufacturing context.

Work Environment

  • Office-based work environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent sitting and operating a computer, along with meetings with clients.
  • Travel to other TechnipFMC locations may be necessary.
