Key Responsibilities

Establish and execute long-term architectural roadmaps to drive continual improvements to efficiency and flexibility. Hold the team to an extremely high bar for site performance, scalability, and availability.

Operate at all levels, diving deep into details while providing strategic inputs for products. Partner with product or program management teams to deliver results.

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams
  • 7+ years of experience in software/hardware/networks development
  • 8+ years of experience defining and developing multi-tier web services

Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for full software/hardware/networks development life cycles, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and live site operations.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
  • Experience recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching, and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills and make them more effective
