About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Remediation Junior Consultant to join our team at ERM Group. As a Remediation Junior Consultant, you will play a key role in implementing remediation technologies and sustainable approaches for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute projects involving site remediation of soil, groundwater, sediments, and free-phase product for clients with complex technical and regulatory issues.
- Plan and oversee subcontractors and fieldwork, including sampling, drilling, well installation, soil, groundwater, and free-phase product assessment, vapor intrusion assessment, remedial pilot tests, and remedial system construction oversight.
- Design and negotiate remedial solutions for contaminated soil and groundwater, utilizing innovative and emerging remedial treatment technologies as well as traditional systems.
- Support project management, ensuring quality standards on project deliverables and maintaining client relationships that generate repeat business.
- Prepare technical reports and maintain strong collaborative relationships with ERM employees, clients, and subcontractors.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Industrial Chemistry.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective written and verbal communication, organization, and analytical skills, with experience recording and writing detailed technical data and reports.
- 1-2 years of experience with complex site investigation and remediation projects under various local, state, and federal regulatory frameworks.
- Availability for constant field work in industrial areas.
- Knowledge of environmental licensing, risk assessment, waste management, and generalist views of environmental processes.
- Strong commitment to safety, including adherence to established ERM Health and Safety protocols.
- Ability to succeed in a consulting pace, handling multiple project assignments, and maintaining flexibility while meeting strict deadlines.
- Availability for business travel and a valid driver's license.
