Cloud Engineering Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer to manage and optimize cloud-based solutions within critical production environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and manage scalable and secure cloud databases using Amazon RDS, DynamoDB, ElastiCache, and Azure SQL Database.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Improve database performance by optimizing SQL queries, PLSQL processes, and scripts.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to performance and availability in production systems.
  • Ensure data security and access management using Vault and BeyondTrust while monitoring systems with Datadog and CloudWatch.
  • Automate infrastructure and workflows using Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible, and GitLab.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in cloud engineering roles.
  • Expertise in Amazon RDS, including configuration and optimization techniques.
  • Practical experience managing DynamoDB for non-relational databases.
  • Proficiency in ElastiCache for enhancing performance and caching solutions.
  • Experience with Azure SQL Database for managing scalable relational databases in the cloud.
  • Advanced knowledge of database design, modeling, query optimization, and scalability best practices.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools like CloudWatch and Datadog to ensure system reliability.
  • Strong experience in automating infrastructure using tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Skilled in using task management and tracking tools like Jira.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional technical teams.
  • Fluent English communication skills, written and spoken, at a B2 level or higher.
Nice to have:
  • Experience working with additional database engines and cloud services beyond the listed tools.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of advanced security practices for cloud-based systems.
  • Certifications in AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms.
