Job Title: Employment Tax Specialist
">The Employment Tax Specialist plays a pivotal role in providing expert advice to external tax, payroll, finance, and HR teams on the tax and social security implications of employment.
">This individual will guide clients through complex tax matters, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and identifying opportunities for tax savings and operational improvements.
">Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
">- Providing expert advice on the tax and social security implications of employment.">
- Guiding clients on employer reporting and withholding obligations.">
- Advising on the tax and social security treatment of employer-provided compensation and benefits.">
- Offering compliance and planning advice for delivering employee compensation and benefits.">
- Conducting health checks or pre-audit reviews and assisting with post-audit remediation projects.">
- Preparing fringe benefit tax returns or equivalent agreements, including related data analysis.">
- Advising on contingent worker populations, focusing on controls, processes, and governance.">
- Staying updated on evolving tax laws and regulations, providing timely updates to clients.">
- Proactively managing client accounts, identifying opportunities for growth, and maintaining regular communication.">
Required skills and qualifications include:
">- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.">
- 3-5 years of experience in employment tax, payroll tax, or related advisory services.">
- Professional tax qualifications (e.g., CPA, CTA, or equivalent) preferred but not mandatory.">
