A retail pharmacy is seeking an experienced pharmacy technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of computer software systems and be able to work at a fast pace in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and dispense patient medications accurately, adhering to regulatory guidelines
- Collect and verify patient information, making calls to physicians for refill authorizations when necessary
- Process third-party billing claims, assisting with prior authorization completion as needed
- Work directly with patients to obtain medication histories and reconcile discrepancies
