Linux Kernel Developer Job

Canonical, a leading provider of open-source software and operating systems, is seeking a Linux Kernel Developer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, excellent academic results, and a passion for working in a distributed environment.

The successful applicant will be responsible for collaborating with a globally distributed team, working closely with external silicon and hardware manufacturers, diagnosing and resolving kernel issues, and delivering high-quality Ubuntu Linux kernels.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the global team to develop and deliver high-quality Linux kernels.
  • Work with external partners to design and implement new features.
  • Debug and resolve kernel issues reported by customers and the community.
  • Improve tooling and automation for kernel delivery and testing.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Excellent programming skills in C and Python.
  • Experience with Linux kernel internals and concepts.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
