Advanced Software Developer

A software development professional with a strong background in Python is required to design, develop and maintain web crawlers. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Linux/UNIX, HTTP, HTML, JavaScript and networking as well as excellent written and spoken communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop and maintain web crawlers using Scrapy.
- Leverage the Scrapinghub platform and open source projects to perform distributed information extraction, retrieval and data processing.
- Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues with distributed crawling at scale.
- Assist in identifying, debugging and fixing problems with open source projects, including Scrapy.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in software development.
- Strong knowledge of Python programming language.
- Familiarity with Linux/UNIX, HTTP, HTML, JavaScript and networking protocols.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
- Ability to work full time.
