Key Responsibilities- Efficient Execution of Activities:
- Ensure that all assigned activities are executed efficiently, meeting project goals and adhering to our Quality Management System (QMS) and Occupational, Health, Safety, Environment and Social (OHSES) protection policies.
- Maintain compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including OSHA and ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and SA8000 requirements.
- Identify and report non-conformities, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Oversee all aspects of a construction project, including managing and monitoring daily operations implementation and assisting the direct Manager/Site Manager in identifying scope of work changes. - Safety Measures:
- Advise the direct Site Operations Managers and Customer Site Manager on additional safety measures necessary to improve work methods and reduce risks.
- Support and participate in our environmental and safety program, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Perform tasks in accordance with our QOHSES System and promote a culture of safety and quality within the team. - Communication and Reporting:
- Communicate problems with field work to Site Operation Managers and Customer Site Manager, and assist in resolving issues promptly.
- Report any accidents and near-misses to the Site Manager and to our OHSE team through the proper channels. - Job Scheduling and Performance:
- Communicate with the direct Site Operations Manager regarding job schedules and report performance issues to address challenges. - Scope of Work Changes:
- Assist the Site Operations Manager in identifying changes to the scope of work promptly and ensure timely communication and documentation of scope changes. - Coordination with Managers:
- Collaborate with responsible department managers regarding equipment problems and provide input and insights to facilitate effective decision-making.
Experience:
- Several years of experience in construction, with a proven track record of progressively responsible roles and previous experience in a supervisory or leadership position on construction sites.
Safety Certification:
- Certification in safety management or relevant safety training programs and familiarity with OSHA regulations and standards.
- Decision Making: Structure activities according to priorities, actions, resources, and constraints.
- Problem Solving: Address complex situations and reinterpret them in a perspective way.
- Emotional Intelligence: Recognize one's and other's emotions and express and regulate one's reactions.
