Strategic Category Development Manager

About the Role

As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for defining and deploying regional category strategies in alignment with our global framework. This involves acting as an expert to share knowledge within the international procurement team and stakeholders.

You will be responsible for tendering, negotiation, and contract handling of regional projects with the goal of maximizing procurement value contribution. This includes cost development, supply security, improved service levels, agility, sustainability, and innovation.

In addition, you will ensure compliance with procurement standards, methods, and processes, manage stakeholder relationships, and maintain a sustainable interface with demand owners and the procurement community.

Regular market research and analysis are required to identify new suppliers, and you will perform supplier evaluations to develop and improve the supplier portfolio while focusing on supplier relationship management.

This role requires strong communication skills across all hierarchies for effective project steering in a matrix organization.

Your Profile:

  • A bachelor's degree and several years of professional experience in procurement, preferably in packaging or raw materials procurement.
  • Experience in cross-functional projects and international supplier relations is essential.
  • Strong MS Office, SAP, e-tendering, S2C-/P2P-processes skills are required.
  • Fluent English is mandatory, and additional language skills are welcome.
  • Self-confidence, a proactive working method, and a pragmatic, cost-conscious, creative, result-driven mindset are necessary for success.
