A 12-month postdoctoral research position is available in the field of Integrated Modeling: Water and Economics at the University of Groningen. This opportunity is part of a thematic project focused on climate change, supported by a scholarship from FAPESP.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on the integration of economic models and hydrological models, with a focus on input-output models and computable general equilibrium models.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and apply integrated modeling approaches to address water and economic systems challenges.
- Contribute to the development of research publications and presentations.
- Participate in the design and implementation of research projects, including data collection and analysis.
- Engage in knowledge sharing and collaboration with other researchers and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- PhD in Economics, Environmental Engineering, Geography, Regional Science, Hydrology, or Water Resources, with expertise in input-output models and/or computable general equilibrium models.
- At least three years of research experience in the integration of economic models and hydrological models, with a proven track record of publications.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Interest in multidisciplinary research projects and a willingness to learn and adapt to new approaches.
- Curricular summary in the FAPESP model (maximum 4 pages).
- Cover letter with a brief description of research interests and experiences.
Benefits:
The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP Postdoctoral Scholarship worth R$9,047.40 per month and a Technical Reserve equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the scholarship to cover unforeseen expenses directly related to the research activity.
