The Patent Client Manager will play a pivotal role in managing and maintaining communication between clients, operations, and sales. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join a growing team where they will be at the forefront of one of our new business units to support the international growth of Sun IP.

This role will concentrate on delivering exceptional communication to our clients on all inbound and outbound contact. This will include handling enquiries relating to all aspects of Intellectual Property Filings, Translations, Renewals, and supporting our wider business teams.

The Patent Client Manager will work across our broad client base, ensuring exceptional communication and requiring a keen eye for detail, a good understanding of intellectual property, specifically patent filing and translations requirements worldwide, and the ability to interpret requests and deal with them efficiently and effectively.

This role is fully remote, and we are looking for several candidates to cover multiple shifts. All working hours will be in U.S. time zones (either Eastern Standard Time or Pacific Standard Time). The position requires fluency in spoken and written English as you would be working with U.S.-based team members as well as international clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Day-to-Day management of all inbound email boxes, interpreting client requirements, instructing projects, sending information to correct internal teams, and responding back to our clients.
  • Work with Account Managers, Business Development, Project Managers, and wider operational departments being the liaison between them and our clients interpreting requirements and responses.
  • Help to manage inboxes of Senior Business Development team when at conferences or out of office to ensure continuity and be a main point of contact.
  • Respond to requests from Project Managers, liaising with clients and obtaining information to progress estimates and projects.
  • Act as a central point of contact for all client communications.
  • Work with Client Care Director to help build and consolidate best working practices.
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational abilities and keen eye for details.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and deadlines.
  • Experience of liaising with clients on a daily basis.
  • English proficiency.
Preferred Skills:
  • At least 12 months experience in a paralegal role in Intellectual Property either in a Law firm or Corporate environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of processes in relation to Direct, International, and EP Patent Filing and Translation requirements and IP maintenance.
