Job Summary:
The Lift Maintenance Field Supervisor will play a key role in ensuring the safe and reliable maintenance and operation of all equipment at Canada West Ski Areas Association. This position will assist with the supervision and coordination of all on-mountain lift maintenance, working closely with the Lift Maintenance Manager to develop and implement maintenance plans and schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with Budget Development: Collaborate with the Lift Maintenance Manager to prepare lift maintenance budgets, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Maintenance Scheduling: Complete timelines for maintenance functions, adhering to manufacturers' and provincial regulations' recommendations.
- Preventative Maintenance: Anticipate and recommend maintenance intervals, ensuring the timely replacement of critical spare parts and equipment.
- Inventory Management: Requisition, order, and inspect new and repaired parts and equipment, maintaining an accurate and up-to-date inventory.
- Logbook Maintenance: Ensure all maintenance records are complete and logbooks are maintained as required, adhering to industry regulations and company policies.
- Team Leadership: Assign duties and schedule personnel, conducting performance reviews and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Collaboration: Work effectively with various mountain operations departments, demonstrating strong leadership and supervisory qualities.
- Communication: Possess excellent communication skills, ensuring clear and concise communication with team members, management, and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Education and Certification: Journeyperson certification as an Industrial Mechanic or Electrician (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: Previous experience working with maintenance of various types of aerial ropeway equipment, with knowledge of ski lifts operations and maintenance requirements.
- Skills: Industrial equipment repairs, strong leadership and supervisory qualities, excellent communication skills, ability to work effectively in stressful situations, and ability to handle conflicting priorities.
- Physical Demands: Ability to work at heights and lift heavy equipment.
Compensation: $38-$41 per hour
