Ebaotech International is seeking a highly skilled Freelance Legal Advisor to join our team. As a Freelance Legal Advisor, you will play a crucial role in driving, managing, or participating in negotiations with clients, business partners, and suppliers in Latin America and other Portuguese-speaking countries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiation and Contract Management: Independently drive, manage, or participate in negotiation with clients, business partners, and/or suppliers in Latin America or other Portuguese-speaking countries.
- Contract Drafting and Review: Draft, review, interpret, or prepare contracts and other legal documents for various business deals.
- Compliance Policy Development: Initiate, draft, and optimize compliance policies, including anti-bribery and export control policies, in line with law updates and corporate needs. Prepare and provide related trainings.
- Legal Research: Conduct legal research on commercial or compliance-related matters in the LATAM region.
- Dispute Resolution: Support the resolution of disputes that occur in LATAM regions when needed.
- Template Development: Initiate and craft new types of templates to cater to business needs.
- Support and Collaboration: Provide auxiliary support as instructed from time to time related to legal and compliance affairs.
Requirements:
- Education: Major in law, with a bachelor's degree or above.
- Language Skills: Native in Portuguese and professional in English.
- Experience: Solid working experience of 8 to 15 years in a reputable law firm, international MNCs, or high-growth start-ups, with at least 3 years of experience in the industry of TMT, internet, cloud, or other information technology business, and has solid experience and exposure on compliance-related matters.
- Skills: Strong drafting, negotiation, and legal analytical skills. Sophisticated in communicating and working in a cross-functional team to achieve common goals. Capable of appreciating and grasping concepts and principles of law from multiple jurisdictions. Capable of identifying and escalating issues timely and appropriately, and of prioritizing and responding to business needs and goals.
- Personal Qualities: Sense of urgency, time priority, and accountability. Capable and willing to work under pressure. Detail-oriented. Willing to travel when needed (within 20%). Honest and high level of integrity is a must.
