Electrical Repair Specialist Job Description

The primary function of this role is to diagnose and repair electrical units and controls using hand tools and electronic knowledge. The Electrical Repair Specialist will work from schematics and other specifications to test and inspect equipment, ensuring it meets customer requirements.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Follow detailed written instructions to repair components of computers, printers, drives, amps, and chillers.
  • Use oscilloscopes, multimeters, computers, and specialized test equipment for troubleshooting and isolating electronic failures in equipment.
  • Ensure product is repaired/tested and shipped in a timely manner to meet customer metric targets.

Requirements:Education:

A high school graduate with 2 years of technical school education in the electronics field is required.

Experience:

A minimum of 1-3 years of experience working with computers, printers, power supplies, monitors, drives, modems, amps, or chillers is necessary.

Skills:

Excellent manual dexterity, electronic skills, ability to work with hand tools and electronic test equipment, and operate a personal computer are essential.
