Senior Dialysis Nurse Technician

As a Senior Dialysis Nurse Technician at Fresenius Medical Care, you will play a vital role in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy for patients. Your responsibilities will include setting up and operating hemodialysis machines, assisting with the maintenance of a clean and safe working environment, and supporting the Quality Enhancement Program (QEP).

• Patient Education: Assist healthcare members in providing patient-specific education regarding adequacy measures, disease process, and vascular access.
• Patient Treatment: Welcome assigned patients, evaluate vascular access for patency, perform cannulation, administer heparin as delegated, initiate dialysis treatment, and monitor patients' response to therapy.
• Maintenance/Technical: Maintain environmental integrity, ensure all areas are safe and clean, perform routine cleaning and disinfection, prepare and organize supplies, and efficiently utilize equipment to prevent wastage.
• Record Keeping: Complete and document ongoing participation in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities, review treatment sheets for completeness, prepare initial patient charts, and collect lab specimens.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $68,000 - $82,000, depending on location and experience.
