Job Description:

Our organization is seeking a skilled Credit Risk Analyst to join its team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of credit risk, industry fundamentals, and internal policies and procedures.

The Credit Risk Analyst will be responsible for a portfolio of institutional relationships, owning the credit risk analysis and continuous monitoring of that portfolio. This includes producing Annual Reviews, Quarterly Reviews, and supporting ad-hoc transactions and portfolio & industry reviews and stress testing.

The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, including an understanding of key financial components, with the ability to identify root causes and trends and anticipate horizon issues. They will also have advanced knowledge of financial statements and accounting principles.

  • Assess the credit and financial strength of our most complex Large Corporate, Public Sector, and Financial Institutions Clients by performing fundamental credit analysis of counterparties using both quantitative and qualitative factors
  • Complete Credit Approval Memos (CAMs) and Final Obligor Risk Ratings (FORR) of our Counterparties based on independent assessment and judgement
  • Continuous monitoring of the covered portfolio, including following industry trends, impacts to key relationships, and escalation of potential credit issues to Team Leads, senior managers, and business partners
  • Review and provide a recommendation on the risk rating across this sector
  • Partner with applicable regional and industry stakeholders in the implementation of credit assessment and monitoring standards for applicable portfolios
