We are seeking an experienced professional to manage and control laytime. This role involves calculating and negotiating the best laytime calculations, interpreting charter party clauses, and ensuring timely processing and payment of claims.
Key responsibilities include:
- Calculating and controlling laytime
- Negotiating with parties involved in case of disagreement about laytime calculations
- Ensuring timely processing and payment of claims
- Collecting balance freights
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Experience in a similar role or experience with laytime from a different role
- Solid understanding of the shipping industry and legal aspects
- Effective, structured, and persistent way of working
- Excellent English skills
