About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Platform Engineer to join our team at Grupo QuintoAndar. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high-performance data pipelines and processes to support our analytics and data science teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable and efficient data pipelines using Big Data technologies such as Spark, Hive, and MapReduce.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop data solutions that meet their needs.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • Conduct proof-of-concepts and benchmarks to determine the best tools and technologies for specific problems.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in the data engineering domain, applying this knowledge to improve our data platforms and processes.
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of Big Data technologies, including Spark, Hive, and MapReduce.
  • Proficiency in Python or other main programming languages, with a passion for writing clean and maintainable code.
  • Understanding of data lifecycle concepts, such as lineage, governance, privacy, retention, and anonymization.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
