About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team at Poatek. As a key member of our delivery team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the continuous delivery of our software products and services to our clients and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients and delivery teams to influence technical decisions and business goals, ensuring alignment with our company's vision and mission.
  • Design, implement, and maintain DevOps pipelines using cloud engineering automation tools, such as AWS CloudFormation, to streamline our software delivery process.
  • Ensure tickets are closed within Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and seek support when necessary, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure software is deployed and managed securely and reliably, adhering to industry best practices and company standards.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot DevOps pipelines for smooth and efficient operation, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Identify and implement improvements to make DevOps pipelines more scalable, reliable, and efficient, driving process excellence and innovation.
  • Document application releases, including configuration and content details, to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with configuring, testing, and delivering core systems, including cloud-based infrastructure and applications.
  • Deliver configuration as code for reproducibility and scalability, ensuring consistency and reliability across our software delivery process.
  • Adapt working style to support teammates, practice active listening, and offer help when needed, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
  • Stay updated on the latest DevOps trends and technologies, applying new knowledge and skills to drive innovation and improvement.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer or related role, with a strong background in cloud engineering and automation.
  • Professional and empathetic in client interactions, focusing on understanding and promoting client interests.
  • Experience with configuration management and infrastructure as code tools, including AWS CloudFormation.
  • Take full ownership of tasks, ensure completion, and manage time responsibly, demonstrating a high level of accountability and reliability.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to provide and receive feedback constructively, ensuring clear and effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
  • Strong experience with Flux CD, Azure ADO pipelines, and other cloud engineering automation tools, with a strong understanding of cloud-based infrastructure and applications.
  • Experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms, with a strong understanding of cloud security and compliance.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, with a strong understanding of continuous integration and delivery principles.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and Docker, with a strong understanding of containerization and orchestration.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, Chef, Salt, or other configuration management and infrastructure as code tools.
