Lead Android Developer Position

As a crucial member of the Android team, you will collaborate with diverse teams to create innovative solutions that enhance daily life. Your expertise in Android development will drive high-quality application creation, adhering to best practices and optimizing code for superior performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Application Development: Design, build, and maintain robust Android applications using Java and Kotlin.
  • Code Optimization: Apply your knowledge of object-oriented programming and multi-threaded development to optimize code.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure code quality through unit and UI testing, leveraging tools like JUnit, Mockito, Robolectric, Espresso, and UiAutomator.
  • Architecture: Collaborate on architectural decisions, employing patterns such as MVP and MVVM.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with product and design teams to deliver successful projects.
  • Project Management: Manage projects from conception to delivery, ensuring timely completion and achievement of objectives.
Work Model

Cognizant promotes hybrid work flexibility. This role requires 2 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in São Paulo, SP. We prioritize work-life balance through various wellbeing programs.

Requirements
  • Communication: Advanced English proficiency for both written and verbal communication.
  • Background: Solid background in Android development with in-depth knowledge of the Android SDK, Java, and Kotlin.
  • Programming: Experience with object-oriented programming and multi-threaded development.
  • Testing: Champion of testing and experienced with tools such as JUnit, Mockito, Robolectric, Espresso, and UiAutomator.
  • Architecture: Solid understanding of architectural patterns like MVP and MVVM.
