Job SummaryThis position requires sourcing parts for obsolete equipment, documenting all maintenance activities, performing preventative maintenance, installation, and validation of equipment. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with Process, QA, and Facilities teams to resolve problems, implement improvements, and conduct investigations.
Key Responsibilities- Reading schematics/prints to identify problems and repair equipment to ensure safe operation
- Troubleshooting and repairing ancillary equipment like blow overs, bulb pullers, and heaters
- Performing changeovers and setups on vision systems, making minor adjustments as needed
- Mixing ink and disposing of waste following safety and QA guidelines for printing machines
- Changing machine gear oil and disposing of used oil per procedures
- Rebuilding or retrofitting machines or components as per specifications
- Installing, replacing, or decommissioning equipment
- Validating equipment as required
- Training new mechanics on machine repair, setup, and procedures with the training department
- Completing preventative maintenance tasks on schedule and reporting completion
- Sourcing and stocking obsolete parts for equipment
- Locating parts in the stockroom using MP2 or similar systems
- Participating in company programs like continuous improvement, safety initiatives, audits, and investigations
- Supporting projects and process improvements from engineering, QA, safety, and operations groups
- Documenting daily tasks in the maintenance log before shift end
- Protecting all confidential information
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Enhancing technical skills through workshops and training supported by the organization
- FOLLOWING engineering guidelines and safety regulations
- Maintaining reliable and punctual attendance
