This exciting opportunity is for a Pensions Calculation Specialist to join our Business Solutions function within the Technology team. You will work alongside a skilled team of specialists supporting Defined Benefit (DB) occupational pension schemes.

We are looking for someone with deep expertise in DB pensions, especially in areas such as Guaranteed Minimum Pensions (GMP), GMP Equalisation, and Barber period calculations. You will bring strategic insight and hands-on skill to lead complex work, mentor others, and create smarter, scalable solutions.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be able to think critically, and have experience working with MS Excel & Word. They will also have knowledge of UK pensions legislation and be proficient in using technology to improve efficiency.

As a Pensions Calculation Specialist, you will be accountable for delivering all projects within your capacity and contributing to the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Anticipate client needs and identify practical solutions to calculation suites.
  • Create tailored client solutions for complex service offerings.
  • Interact with third parties to clarify complex and technical queries.
  • Build confidence in expressing ideas in conference calls or dealing with challenging situations.
  • Provide an efficient, professional service to meet all client needs and promote our brand.
  • Work towards developing and optimizing end-to-end automation.
