Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Design Release Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, analyzing, implementing, and validating complex Roof and Vision systems.

  • Design and develop innovative solutions for Roof and Vision systems, ensuring high-quality products that meet customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate design and manufacturing processes, ensuring seamless product delivery.
  • Utilize advanced engineering tools and techniques to optimize system performance, reduce costs, and improve safety.
  • Lead peer reviews and collaborate with other teams to ensure best practices are incorporated in the CAD process.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including purchasing, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers, to ensure successful product development and launch.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and development of complex Roof and Vision systems, including Roof Rack, Glasses, Wiper and Washers, Rearview Mirrors, Air inlet Panels, and Fuel Filler Doors.
  • Performing engineering design evaluations and concept development across vehicle programs.
  • Utilizing engineering tools (DFMEA, ICDs, PFMEA) and leveraging CAE groups to successfully develop the best system solution.
  • Assessment of design to manufacturing processes.
  • Package components, manage CAD development through supplier or GM designers, and collaborate with other systems within the vehicle (Electrical, Body, Chassis, Propulsion, etc.).
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree completed in engineering.
  • Proven technical experience and professional skills in job-related area.
  • Advanced or Fluent English.
  • Ability to travel (domestic and international).
  • Active CREA.
