Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Sourcing Team as an Indirect Purchasing Assistant. As an Indirect Purchasing Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the procurement of indirect materials and services to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products to our customers.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You will be responsible for coordinating with suppliers, managing inventory levels, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Business Administration, Economics, International Relations, or Engineering (minimum 1.5-2 years after starting the internship)
  • Intermediate/fluency in English
  • Interest in innovating and learning new things
  • Analytical thinking
  • Pleasure in working in a team
  • Knowledge of intermediate Office Suite
  • Power BI knowledge

What We Offer

As an Indirect Purchasing Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of stakeholders, including suppliers, internal teams, and external partners. You will be responsible for:

  • Supporting and executing initiatives for indirect material purchases
  • Quote preparation and follow-up for new items
  • Creative order preparation and evaluation, negotiation, and finalization of price, quality, delivery, and other terms with suppliers and factories
  • Frequent reports to management on the status of indirect purchase processes
  • Interaction and monitoring with suppliers and Wabtec teams to ensure timely completion
  • Integration and planning with internal clients
  • Process Improvement Support
