About the Role

This position plays a pivotal role in enhancing the alumni experience by developing and supporting programs that cater to historically underrepresented communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create, coordinate, implement, and evaluate programs designed to engage underrepresented alumni populations.
  • Lead initiatives to foster strong connections between the institution and alumni from historically underrepresented communities.
  • Elevate the significance of alumni volunteer groups within the broader engagement strategies.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments and university partners to identify and promote alumni leaders for volunteer roles.
  • Maintain a structured, transparent, and welcoming volunteer board framework.
  • Design event strategies aligned with the institution's strategic objectives.
  • Participate in major campus and alumni events, including Reunion Weekend, Grad Fair Days, Regional Events, and more.
  • Partner with the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Affairs and alumni leaders to ensure inclusive and engaging strategies across the Greek community.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three to five years of related work experience.
  • Experience in higher education, community activism, or non-profit sectors is preferred.
  • Prior experience working with diversity programs and community organizing is preferred.
  • Ability to leverage social media channels and proficient use of digital communication tools.
  • Capacity to complete projects on time and within budget, with clear reporting on status and progress.
