Job Description

As a Utility Coordinator II, you will play a crucial role in reviewing proposed freight rail construction design plans against available utility infrastructure documentation to identify potential conflicts. You will also review railroad license agreements, easements, deed records, and other documents to determine occupancy rights and applicability of compensable interests.

You will perform records research at City/County offices to determine land ownership and property boundaries as necessary. Additionally, you will support Project Managers and participate in client and stakeholder visits, site visits, field assessments, and construction observation as needed.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing proposed freight rail construction design plans
  • Reviewing railroad license agreements, easements, and deed records
  • Performing records research at City/County offices
  • Supporting Project Managers
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Ability to read and understand civil transportation engineering design plans
  • Ability to read and understand utility installation and adjustment plans
  • Strong communication, both verbal and written, organization skills, attention to detail, scheduling and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and understand contractual documents
  • Basic understanding of real estate principles
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu, ArcGIS, KMZs, AutoCAD, or MicroStation
  • Familiarity with Transportation/Roadway/Utility industry
  • Local candidates preferred
