The Senior Research Operations Manager plays a crucial role in advancing the university's research mission. Key responsibilities include overseeing research operations activities within assigned colleges, ensuring compliance and maintaining efficient workflows.
Key Responsibilities:- Pre-Award Planning: Guide Principal Investigators in preparing and submitting grant proposals, including budgets, narratives, and compliance documentation to ensure timely submission.
- Post-Award Management: Oversee grant account setups, cost distributions, and personnel appointments on awarded projects to ensure seamless execution.
- Compliance and Reporting: Facilitate the preparation and submission of internal and external reports, including progress, compliance, and financial reports to stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field and 5 years of professional experience in research administration with exceptional organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Advanced knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations governing sponsored research with expertise in navigating complex regulatory environments.
